This card came to us from Juilanne.  This card is from Venlo in southeast Netherlands.  It is a cozy city with 100,000 inhabitants and dates back to the roman times.  This picture is showing city hall, with the basketball net as artwork.  The artwork is only displayed for a short time and is switched out for different pieces.

April 29-30th

We sent cards three cards, to Canada, United Kingdom and Russia.

We received one card from Canada.

This card came to us from Charity in Nova Scotia.  Grand Pre is wher ethe expulsion of the Acadiens took place between 1755-1762.  Charity also told us that she was homeschooled :). 

Missing Cards...

While we were out traveling I took all the postcards we had received so I could write up the descriptions in our down time....  This sounded like a good plan, until my truck was broken into and my day bag was stolen.  I have the scanned images in the computer, but the hard copy of the cards are currently in some evidence room 2,000 miles away (yes my bag was recovered by the police in Oregon).  I'll work on the scanned copies at some point, but for now I'm just going to try to recover from all our traveling!

This postcard came from Budapest, Hungary.  Judy writes, “Hungary is the red pepper, the goulash soup, the cavalrymen on horse etc. of home.”

This card from Holland says that they enjoy geocaching and their country is famous for cheese and tulips.

This beautiful postcard is from St. Petersburg Russia.  The view is of the dome of the Cathedral of the Resurrection (The Saviour of the Spilt Blood) and the spire of the Mikhailovsky (Engineers’) Castle.
